Zhong Zheng, known as “Zale,” is a filmmaker and editor born and raised in Wuhan, China. He received his BFA degree in Film & Television at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He has directed several narrative shorts and also works passionately as an editor.
His animated short Leon_! (2019) was an official selection of American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase. His editing work Graveyard of Horses (2022), was officially selected for Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival ’22, SXSW ’23 and won the NETPAC Award at the Busan International Short Film Festival.
Lately he edited a feature film To Kill A Mongolian Horse (2024), which has been selected for the “Giornate degli Autori” Section Competition at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
His latest film In the Water just finished post production.

剪辑长片《一匹白马的热梦》入围第81届威尼斯国际电影节“威尼斯日”竞赛单元。
他的最新导演短片《在水中》已完成后期制作。
