Zhong Zheng, also known as “Zale,” is a director and editor born in Wuhan, China, and currently based in Shanghai. He received his BFA degree in Film & Television from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. His directorial work In the Water was selected for the Discovery Award – Main competition of VITA SHORTS (2025).

As an editor, his credits include Graveyard of Horses (2022), which was selected for major international film festivals including Tallinn Black Nights, SXSW, and Pingyao; Scorching (2026), selected for the 76th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) Generation 14plus Short Film Competition; and the feature film To Kill A Mongolian Horse (2024), which was selected for international festivals such as Venice, Busan, HKIFF, and FIRST, and received multiple awards including Firebird Award (Best Film) at HKIFF.

郑重,生于湖北武汉,现居上海的剪辑、导演,本科毕业于纽约大学Tisch艺术学院电影制作系。曾于戛纳电影节、BBC Studios实习,参与过数十部获奖影片制作。他导演的短片《在水中》入围VITA SHORTS (2025) 华语竞赛单元。

剪辑作品《马冢》入围塔林黑夜、SXSW西南偏南、平遥等国际影展,《诞辰日》入围第76届柏林国际电影节新生代Generation 14plus短片竞赛单元,长片《一匹白马的热梦》入围威尼斯、釜山、香港、FIRST等国际影展并获得诸多奖项。
